Follow these simple steps to make sure you're using Roundup® For Lawns Bug Destroyer the right way for maximum effectiveness.
Using Roundup® For Lawns Bug Destroyer is a cinch, but you want to make sure you're doing it the right way for maximum effectiveness. Follow these simple steps, and also be sure to carefully read the directions on the back of the bag before you start.
When it comes to insect pests of all sorts, it's always easier to prevent a problem than to deal with a full-blown infestation. Plus, when it comes to grubs, Roundup® For Lawns Bug Destroyer is most effective when it's applied before they hatch. So, timing is key. Apply Roundup® For Lawns Bug Destroyer early in the spring or summer to prevent infestations both above and below the ground.
Select a spreader designed for your lawn size and use it to evenly apply Roundup® For Lawns Bug Destroyer to your entire lawn. (For every 1,000 square feet of lawn, you'll want to use 4 pounds of product.) If you're applying the product in your landscape beds, use a hand-held spreader and apply 2 pounds evenly to every 500 square feet. Remember, always check the back of the bag for your correct spreader setting!
The last step is to activate the product so it can start working right away. To do that, thoroughly water the treated area as soon as you've finished applying Roundup® For Lawns Bug Destroyer.
And that's it! Once you follow these 3 simple steps, your lawn and landscape will be protected from listed bugs for up to 3 months. (Have questions? You'll probably find the answers right on the back of the bag.)
For best effectiveness, don't use Roundup® For Lawns Bug Destroyer on a lawn that is over-saturated with water. Wait for the lawn to dry out first, then apply.
Whenever you'd like! You can plant before or after applying Roundup® For Lawns Bug Destroyer—no need to wait.
While you do want to water the treated area thoroughly right after applying Roundup® for Lawns Bug Destroyer, you don't want wind or rain to blow or wash the active ingredient into other areas. So it's best to wait and apply it on a calm day when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours.
